What this recall means for you
The instrument cluster display on certain Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans may not be adjustable and can appear too bright in some lighting conditions. This means the vehicle does not fully meet federal standards for controls and displays.
A display that is too bright can make it hard for the driver to see important safety information on the instrument panel, which raises the risk of a crash. Owners should be cautious about how easily they can read their gauges and warning lights while driving.
Dealers will update the instrument cluster software at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters were mailed January 31, 2025. You can contact Daimler Vans USA customer service at 1-877-762-8267 (recall number VS3BELKOM), and you should check your VIN for any open recalls.
