Twice in the last two months the vehicle completely lost the ability to accelerate while driving. While the vehicle was in motion, the accelerator lost all tension and you could put your foot the floor without the vehicle moving. The vehicle still had all other power, including power steering, stereo, lights and power breaks. The first incident occurred last month at low speed in a residential area. The vehicle was able to coast to the sidewalk in front of house. A few minutes later the vehicle started up without issue and was able to be driven home.
