What owners report
in the ford maverick hybrid, ford has been aware of parasitic drain issues related to its software in the ABS braking system and it air condition system which causes degradation of the battery. there are service messages sent to ford dealerships regarding these issues (SM 55215, SSM 53801, SSM 54785). The contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V863000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 15,000.
I am reporting a recurring shudder/vibration condition in my 2024 Ford Maverick XL Hybrid. The vehicle currently has approximately 62,241 miles. The problem occurs during acceleration, generally between approximately 15 and 60 mph and started at just over 60,000 miles. The vehicle develops a pronounced shudder/vibration that feels similar to driving over a rough road or a rumble strip. The condition is repeatable and occurs during normal driving and acceleration.
