What owners report
Recall was issued a year ago on my engine and toyota has yet to do anything about the recall. There is also a second recall for ym tailights , this has been over a year since the recall was issued. First they told me i was to get a new engine in june of 2026. Then in may of 2026 they told me a software test will be completed first to determine if my truck needs a engine. The dealer did state at that time , they are not equipped or trained to perform the service so they dont know when this will happen if ever.
While driving with out any warning engine started to shake really bad then shut down.
2023 Toyota Tundra. On July 20, 2026 and again on September 18, 2026, while driving, the truck suddenly lost power and went into limp mode. The dash showed 'Check Engine / Reduced Engine Power / Visit Your Dealer' at about 43,440 miles. The truck had to be towed to the dealer on a flatbed. Losing power without warning in traffic is a serious safety risk. Other ongoing problems: the brakes squeaked for over a year before they were fixed, the driver seat bolster plastic is broken (this would be the third repair), the radio volume knob has failed, and there is excessive wind noise. This VIN still shows open recall 25V767 (engine machining debris causing loss of motive power), which has not been

Recall 25V-767 (Toyota 25TB14) is open on my VIN with no remedy available. Full statement and sources attached. XXX 12 days after the recall was filed and before I had any notice, my check engine light was on at an oil change at Colonial Toyota, [XXX]. The tech showed me the dealer's video of it and the light was cleared. I reported rough running and hesitation pulling away, and fear of a stall in traffic. The only rental offered was a subcompact, which cannot replace my full-size truck or tow my trailer. I was told nothing could be done until Toyota released a fix. None of this is on the repair order. I stopped driving the truck; by mid-XXX it had 19,923 miles. I asked the dealer in writ
