What this recall means for you
Some 2023 Toyota Tundra and Tundra Hybrid trucks fitted with a spray-on bed liner accessory have a load carrying capacity label that states the wrongload limit. Because the label is inaccurate, the truck may be loaded beyond what it can safely carry. The vehicles also do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110 for tire selection and rims.
An overloaded vehicle is more likely to be involved in a crash, since added weight can affect handling, braking and tire performance.
Dealers will replace the load carrying capacity label free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 29, 2023. You can contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331, and you can check your VIN for open recalls.
