- Problem
- Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Tundra, Tundra Hybrid, and 2023-2025 Sequoia Hybrid vehicles. A software error may cause the rearview image not to display when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."
- Risk
- A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy
- Dealers will update the multimedia display software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 19, 2025. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Toyota's numbers for this recall are 25TB10 and 25TA10.
What this recall means for you
Certain Toyota Tundra, Tundra Hybrid, and Sequoia Hybrid vehicles may have a software error that prevents the rearview image from showing on the multimedia display when the vehicle is put in reverse. Because the camera image is not shown, the driver's view behind the vehicle is reduced, and the vehicles do not meet federal rear visibility requirements.
A rearview image that does not appear increases the risk of a crash, especially when backing up near pedestrians, children, or other vehicles and objects. Owners should be extra careful when reversing and check their mirrors and surroundings directly.
Dealers will update the multimedia display software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 19, 2025. To check whether your vehicle is included, use your VIN to look for open recalls, or contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331 (Toyota recall numbers 25TB10 and 25TA10).
