What this recall means for you
The rearview camera can display a distorted, inverted, or blank image while the vehicle is in reverse. This reduces the driver's view of the area behind the vehicle, which raises the risk of a crash.
If your rearview camera shows a blank, upside-down, or distorted picture when you shift into reverse, avoid relying on it and check behind the vehicle by looking over your shoulder and using your mirrors. Dealers will inspect the rearview camera and replace it as needed, free of charge. Owners can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, and owner notification letters are being mailed in phases beginning in January 2026. Check your VIN for open recalls at NHTSA.gov.
