What owners report
Rear door handles stick in the open position intermittently. Seems to happen more when weather is wet. Dealer fixed this problem once after a TSB was issued, but it is happening again. Dealer has not been able to replicate in person again and originally would not open case based on video of it happening. Upon contacting the manufacturer, the dealer was instructed to open a tech line case. If the door outer door handle stays in the open position when the door is closed it prevents the inner door handle from opening the door which caused my daughter to be stuck in the car until someone could let her out.
Steering binds during turns on highway and steering wheel is hard to return to straight.
When driving the vehicle both at highway speed and city speed (but more noticeable at highway speed) after turning the wheel to turn the car, when trying to return to straight the steering wheel "sticks" and I have to force it to return to center. This problem has been going on for several months so I took it to the Mazda dealership where I purchased the car, and they confirmed the problem. The dealer said it was not under a further recall (they had previously applied lubricant to the steering mechanism) and at this time not covered by warranty (I have exceeded the 36,000 mile warranty). Awaiting further information on coverage by my extended warranty. This is a serious safety concern as
Our 2024 Mazda CX 90 is experiencing the well known âsticky steering wheelâ problem that reveals itself as a post-recall fix failure.
Steering malfunction was recalled in January 2024. Although it was reported as fixed, the sticky steering has returned. Dealership stated that vehicle requires a new motor that powers steering. Steering has continued to become more difficult to turn and we are concerned about driving the car.
