Mazda CX-90 Recall 25V568: Fuel Gauge May Read Wrong, Risking Sudden Stalling

NHTSA campaign 25V568, reported September 2, 2025, 104,854 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The fuel gauge in the instrument cluster may show an inaccurate fuel level on certain mild hybrid vehicles. Because the reading can be wrong, the vehicle may unexpectedly run out of fuel and stall.

A sudden stall while driving increases the risk of a crash. Keep track of your fuel level and do not rely solely on the gauge, especially when the tank is low.

The repair is free. Dealers will update the body control module software at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 24, 2025. You can contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500, Option 6, using recall number 78251, and you should check your vehicle identification number for open recalls.
