Mazda CX-90 Recall 23V718: Camera Images May Not Display, Reducing Driver View

NHTSA campaign 23V718, reported October 26, 2023, 11,903 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

A software error can cause the rearview, front, or side camera images to fail to appear on the display. Without these images, the driver's view is reduced, which increases the risk of a crash or injury. The affected systems include back-over prevention, forward collision avoidance, and lane departure warning, all of which rely on the camera sensing system.

The remedy is free of charge. Authorized dealers will update the view monitor control module software. Owners who received the notification letter mailed December 20, 2023 should take their vehicle to an authorized dealer for the update. If you have questions or did not receive a letter, you can contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500, Option 6, and reference recall number 6223J.

To check whether your vehicle has any open recalls, enter your VIN on the NHTSA recall lookup or ask a Mazda dealer to check it for you.
