Tesla Model 3 Recall 24V935: Tire Pressure Warning May Not Stay On, Hiding Low Tire Pressure

NHTSA campaign 24V935, reported December 17, 2024, 696,281 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) warning light may not stay lit between drive cycles. If your tires are underinflated, the warning may not alert you, which means the vehicle does not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 138 for tire pressure monitoring systems.

Driving on improperly inflated tires increases the risk of a crash. Because the warning light may not remain on, you may not be told about low tire pressure when you need to know.

Tesla is providing a free over-the-air software update to correct the problem. Owner notification letters were mailed February 15, 2025. To get help, contact Tesla customer service at 1-877-798-3752, and check your VIN for open recalls.
