What this recall means for you
Certain 2019 Sprinter vans, sold under the Mercedes-Benz and Freightliner names, may have lashing rails on the side walls that were not properly installed. The rails could detach from the walls over time.
If the lashing rails come loose, cargo may not stay secured, which increases the risk of a crash. Owners who use these vans to haul goods should take this seriously and check their vehicle as soon as possible.
The repair is free. Dealers will properly affix the lashing rails to the side walls at no cost to you. Contact Daimler Vans USA customer service at 1-877-762-8267, referencing recall number VS3ZUSCHI, and check your VIN for any open recalls.
