Engine Bearings May Fail, Risking Crash or Fire
Certain vehicles with 1.5L three-cylinder or 2.0L four-cylinder variable compression turbo engines may have engine bearings with manufacturing defects.
Rearview Camera Image Can Distort or Go Blank
The rearview camera harness can be damaged, causing the camera image on the display to distort or disappear.
Tires may crack or separate, risking sudden loss of control
Some tires on these vehicles may have been cured (heat-molded) for too long during manufacturing.
Rear camera image can be turned off, raising crash risk
The rear-view camera and display settings can be adjusted so the backup camera image no longer appears on the screen, and the system keeps that setting the next time the vehicle is put in reverse.
Fuel pump ring can loosen, risking leaks and fire
On certain 2019 Nissan Altima vehicles with front-wheel drive and the 2.5-liter engine, the fuel pump lock ring may not be fully engaged.
Brake Switch May Stick On, Allowing Unexpected Rolling
The brake switch bracket may be installed in the wrong location, so the brake switch can remain in the ON position even when the brake pedal is not pressed.
Fuel Leak and Engine Stall Risk From Loose Fuel Line Clip
A retainer clip that connects the low pressure fuel tube to the high pressure fuel pump may not have been locked into position.

On October 22, 2026, the heated driver's seat in my 2019 Nissan Altima caused what appears to be a burn injury to my lower back. I was wearing both a tank top and a sweatshirt while using the heated seat. I discovered the injury afterward. The injury included an open, raw area of skin on my lower back, which I documented with photographs. I am extremely concerned that the heated seat generated enough heat to cause an injury through multiple layers of clothing. This presents a serious safety hazard to drivers and passengers, particularly because an occupant may not realize an injury is occurring until afterward. I am concerned about a possible malfunction or defect in the seat heating eleme
