What owners report
I am filing a complaint regarding a safety-related failure of the driverâs seat bracket in my vehicle. The bracket has broken, causing the driverâs seat to rock back and forth while the vehicle is in motion. I took the vehicle to an authorized dealer for inspection, and they confirmed that the seat bracket has failed. I was also informed that the replacement part is no longer in production and is unavailable. This condition poses a significant safety risk. A loose or unstable driverâs seat can impair vehicle control, increase driver distraction, and reduce the effectiveness of seatbelt and airbag systems in the event of a crash. I was driving home recently and the back of my seat near the base gave out on me, the lower back/bottom raising motor was working but the seat was not going up. Upon inspection I found that the welds on the seat bracket had broken, going online and searching found me countless forums of seat brackets breaking during driving. Two main issues with this 1. I almost lost control due to the sudden drop 2. If I was to get into a collision the seat is not secure whatsoever. This is not an uncommon issue and I am astonished no recall has been given Sources of similarity [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Electrical fault in a sensor that I believe causes the engine to shut down. This issue was reported to Infiniti but not corrected; although, Nissan issued a voluntary recall citing a sensor failure that can lead to engine shutdown.
Failure of Occupant Detection Sensor. Air bag light keeps blinking.
WHILE TRAVELING 65 MPH ON AN INTERSTATE MY CAR SLOWED TO APPROXIMATELY 20MPH AND IWOULD NOT ACCELERATE. THE SLIP INDICATOR/VOC AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND ALL I WAS ABLE TO DO WAS MAKE IT TO THE EXIT WITH MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON. I THOUGHT MAYBE THE BATTERY OR ALTERNATOR WAS THE CAUSE. I TESTED BOTH AND BOTH WERE GOOD. I WAS BEEN TRYING TO TRACK DOWN THE PROBLEM AND HAD BEEN AT A LOSS UNTIL I STARTED TO INVESTIGATE DISCOVERING THAT SEVERAL 07 INFINITY MODELS HAVE BEEN HAVING THE SIMILAR ISSUE AS MINE.
