What owners report
Driving my vehicle on the interstate at 70mph when the transmission made a hard downshift and brought my wife, two children, an infant and toddler, and I to a very sudden 40mph.Before I was able to find a shoulder to pull over the transmission fluid overheated and vehicle would no longer change gears. I then towed it to the dealership where purchased originally. Vehicle was then towed to and diagnosed at a Chevrolet dealership where ultimately resulted in a valve body and clutch failure.
The dealership diagnosed the truck after investigating a ticking noise and engine misfire. During the inspection, they removed the valve cover and found that one of the pushrods on cylinder #5 was bent. Further disassembly revealed that both lifters on cylinder #5 had failed, causing excessive wear on the camshaft lobe. As a result, the dealership determined that the necessary repair was to replace the camshaft and all 16 lifters. The engine was then cleaned, reassembled, and tested to ensure proper operation. The root cause of the issue appears to have been a failing lifter, which led to damage of the associated valvetrain components.
THE 3RD ROW HEADREST WONT STAY UP I BROUGHT IS TO CHEVEROLET DEALER I SAID THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT THE 2021 RECALL ON SEATS IS TO CORRECT THE HEADREST NOT STAYING UP! AND THE DEALER SAID RECALL DOESNT APPLY TO THE 2022 MODEL YEAR HEADREST. I SAID ITS EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM THEY WONT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. SAD BUT TRUE IF WE WERE TO HAVE A ACCIDENT WITH SOMEONE SITTING IN THOSE 3RD ROW SEATS AND HEAD REST WONT STAY UP SOMEONE WILL GET HURT!!!!!! VERY FRUSTRATING CHEVROLET STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT IN THE NAME OF SAFETY!!
The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the forward collision, check engine, and traction control warning lights illuminated, and the messages "Forward Collision Unavailable," "Service Traction Control," and "Service ESC" displayed on the instrument panel. An abnormal muffler sound was heard, the engine compartment vibrated, and the vehicle failed to accelerate above 35 MPH. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the engine was disassembled and it was determined that the lifters failed and the engine required replacement. Prior to the failure, the vehicle was taken to the dealer for an illuminated check engine warning light
Sunroof exploded for no reason and no prior issues while driving on the interstate. It sounded like a gun went off and glass fell on me. Luckily I was able to keep control of the vehicle with the shock.
