Chevrolet Tahoe Recall 22V617: Third-Row Seat Belts May Not Hold Occupants in a Crash

NHTSA campaign 22V617, reported August 11, 2022, 484,155 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2021-2022 full-size SUVs with third-row seats may have a seat belt buckle assembly where the rivet attaching the buckle to its mounting bracket was improperly formed. This affects the left or right third-row buckle.

A deformed rivet means the seat belt may not properly restrain a passenger, which raises the risk of injury in a crash.

Dealers will inspect the rivet head on both third-row buckle assemblies and replace any buckle assembly as needed, free of charge. Owners can contact Chevrolet, Cadillac, or GMC customer service, or check their VIN for open recalls.
