ATS (AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH) KNOWN ISSUE W/FAULTY INSTALLATION SPECIFICALLY THE TINNING OF THE SWITCH. CAUSES OVERLOAD RESULTING IN SMOKE AND POSSIBLE FIRE IF NOT CAUGHT. WINNEBAGO HAS BEEN CONTACTED BY NUMEROUS FUSE OWNERS OF THE ISSUE AND HAS NOT ORDERED A RECALL. OUR VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, SET UP CAMP IN TX STATE PARK, USED SURGE PROTECTOR AT 30 AMP ELECTRICAL POST, THEN PLUGGED IN TO RV - NOTICED SMELL, CHECKED AREA, UNPLUGGED EVERYTHING, SETUP AGAIN, NOTICED SMELL THEN SMOKE SO DISCONNECTED EVERYTHING, BROKE CAMP AND DROVE HOME. CONTACTED WINNEBAGO AND TOOK OUR RV TO RV REPAIR CENTER, FOUND IT TO BE FAULTY INSTALLATION OF ATS, MECHANIC REPLACED WITH NEW, UPGRADED SOUTHWIRE ATS. IT'
