I have experienced on multiple occasions a delay or lack of immediate power when pressing the gas pedal from a complete stop. I have almost caused an accident because of this delayed acceleration when Iâm trying to turn or merge into traffic. The car seems to do it randomly so thereâs no telling when itâs going to actually accelerate or have the delay, but it has happened frequently enough that I am concerned. My car has barely hit 30,000 miles so I highly doubt that it would be linked to normal wear and tear of the vehicle.
I own a 2024 Toyota Camry LE. The vehicle has an intermittent and unpredictable hesitation when I press the accelerator. At times, the vehicle does not respond normally to accelerator input and hesitates before providing power. After the hesitation, the vehicle can suddenly surge forward. This creates a significant safety concern because predictable acceleration is necessary when merging into traffic, entering an intersection, making a turn, or accelerating from a stop. Driverâs door would not open with keyless entry and window switch will not work for back passenger windows. Believed to be related to master switch. Door will only open after manual entry with key and windows only work with individual switch on each door.
