What owners report
I own a 2019 Toyota Camry SE, 4-door automatic transmission, with approximately 59,500 miles. On October 20, 2026, while driving on a roadway with multiple traffic lights, I stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, I pressed the accelerator, and the vehicle made a loud noise but would barely move and accelerated very slowly. At the same time, I noticed a strong oil smell inside the vehicle. There were no warning lights or messages displayed before the failure. Because the vehicle was unable to accelerate normally when traffic began moving, my safety and the safety of other motorists were put at risk. The driver behind me expected my vehicle to move when the light turned green and
When i purchased this vehicle during 2020 i noticed that the car runs very sluggish and the transmission would jerk a lot when slowing down and when speeding back up, ive been able to replicate this problem for the dealership and i took it to them and all they said they can do is reset the transmission and check the fluid levels. So for the past 4 years ive been driving it like that with no issues resolved. Until this year 2026, i took the car back to the dealership and i explained to them that i hear a whining sound coming from the transmission when its runs at 3k RPMS and they were able to replicate the noise and all they said is they cant do nothing since the transmission still runs even
I am filing a safety complaint regarding a transmission failure in my 2019 Toyota Camry. I purchased this vehicle from a local Ford dealership in an as-is sale with approximately 133,000 miles. Only three months after purchase, the transmission began failing while I was driving. The vehicle stopped shifting gears properly, began slipping and jerking, and ultimately lost all ability to move forward. This occurred while driving on the street and created a potentially dangerous situation due to the sudden loss of vehicle propulsion. The vehicle currently has fewer than 140,000 miles. I have been quoted approximately $8,400 by AAMCO to replace the transmission. I was told the transmission cann
The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that the exterior door handles had detached within 3 years. The local dealer was contacted, and the vehicle was scheduled to be repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 61,057.
The dealership wanted to charge me $300 to replace the handle for a fourth time, but they refuse to look at the internal sticking latch defect mentioned in Toyota TSB T-T2-0323-19. I could not safely drive a car with a broken door while waiting for a approval process, so I am having a local mechanic fix it. / want to submit my receipt to this case file for a corporate reimbursement check.
