Toyota RAV4 Recall 19V503: Incorrect Load Label Could Lead to Vehicle Overloading

NHTSA campaign 19V503, reported June 28, 2019, 1,325 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2017-2019 Toyota Camry, Corolla, RAV4, Sienna, and Yaris iA vehicles with factory-installed floor mats have a load carrying capacity label that may be incorrect. The vehicles therefore do not fully comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 110, which covers tire selection and rims.

An inaccurate label may cause you to unknowingly load the vehicle beyond its capacity. Overloading increases the risk of a crash.

Southeast Toyota Distributors will notify owners and provide a corrected label to place over the inaccurate one, at no cost. The recall began August 23, 2019. You can contact Toyota customer service at 1-888-270-9371 (SET recall number SET19A), and you should check your VIN for any open recalls.
