My 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid has intermittently displayed multiple safety-system malfunction warnings at the same time. The messages include âLTA Malfunction â Visit Your Dealer,â âPre-Collision System Malfunction â Visit Your Dealer,â âRSA Malfunction â Visit Your Dealer,â and âHeadlight System Malfunction â Visit Your Dealer.â This has occurred on two separate occasions. The warnings appear together and then later clear, making the problem intermittent. I was stopped for one minute in a drive-thru, and when I took my foot off the brake to accelerate, the vehicle stalled. It told me "Engine Stopped Power Steering Low". I moved out of the drive-thru in neutral, turned off the car then turned it back on. Everything was okay and had no issues. At the time of the accident, my windshield wipers were on. My eninge's auto stop/start was also on. There was a safety risk because my car stalled out when starting up, causing me to have to turn off the car and turn it back on while stopped. I have not been able to reproduce the problem with my dealer yet. I have not had the vehicle inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives?
forward recognition camera malfunctioned which turns off all front camera associated systems including the entire toyota safety sense system. Precollison system malfunctions, lane tracing, adaptive cruise, and headlight system all malfunction when this camera is out. The car is only 2 years old and had to have the entire camera replaced for $2,000.
On 9/06/2026 my 2024 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid was involved in a severe collision where the impact occured on the drivers side at the passenger door. The vehicle spun several times before coming to a stop. During the spins the front passenger door flew opening. My wife was sitting in the passenger seat her seatbelt successfully restrianted her preventing ejection and injury. However the unlatching of a non impacted door under rotational forces represents a catastrophic structural or mechanical latch failure that poses an imminent risk occupant ejection.
