Mercedes-Benz Metris Recall 22V134: Fuel Hose May Leak, Creating a Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 22V134, reported March 8, 2022, 42,132 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some Mercedes-Benz Metris vans from model years 2017 through 2022 may have fuel hoses at the engine that are not fully secure. The connection between the upper and lower fuel hoses can loosen, allowing fuel to leak.

Fuel leaking near an ignition source can increase the risk of a vehicle fire. Owners should not ignore a noticeable fuel smell or visible fuel leak, and should have the vehicle checked promptly.

An authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will inspect the fuel hose connections and repair them free of charge, replacing the clamps and fuel hose as needed. You can call Daimler Vans USA customer service at 1-877-762-8267, referencing recall number VS2KRAUCH, and check your VIN for open recalls.
