Autocar Xpeditor Recall 20V257: Traction control may malfunction without warning, raising crash risk

NHTSA campaign 20V257, reported May 7, 2020, 80 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The traction control electronic control unit (ECU) on certain vehicles may not be programmed correctly, so it can malfunction without warning. The recall covers vehicles equipped with Wabco Automatic Traction Control (ATC) ECUs.

If the ATC ECU malfunctions, the risk of a crash increases. Because the failure can happen without any warning, drivers may not know the system is not working as intended when they need it.

The repair is free. Autocar will notify owners, and an authorized dealer will reprogram the ATC ECU at no cost. You can contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611 or 1-877-973-3486, and you should check your VIN for open recalls.
