ON 11/14/2020 I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE FROM CARISMA AUTO GROUP LOCATED IN TAMPA FL. ON 1/5/2021 WHILE IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY, THE WATER PUMP FAILED. ON 1/6/2021 IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT STOP LEAK CONCENTRATE WAS PUT IN THE RADIATOR.
DANGEROUS LAND ROVER TIMING CHAIN PROBLEM. A KNOWN AND DANGEROUS PROBLEM WITH LAND ROVER VEHICLES HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION AS A RESULT OF FAILED REPAIR ATTEMPTS AND RESEARCH. THERE IS A WELL-KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE TIMING CHAINS ON 2010 LAND ROVER VEHICLES. OTHER VEHICLES ARE AFFECTED. MANY COMPLAINTS ARE IN EVIDENCE ON WEBSITES, CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS ARE BEING ORGANIZED, AND MANY EXPERT ARTICLES WRITTEN. TL* TAKATA RECALL. THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V374000 (AIR BAGS). THE CONTACT STATED THAT MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE FOR THE REPAIR. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT.
GOES DEAD WITHOUT WARNING. THIS HAPPENS BOTH IN TOWN AND ON THE HIGHWAY. YOU LOSE ALL OF YOUR POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. THE DEALERSHIP NOR REGULAR SHOPS HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM. IT WILL START RIGHT BACK UP.
