JAYCO INSTALLED RESIDENTIAL CARPET DIRECTLY OVER THE UNINSULATED FLOOR IF THE FORD E-450 CUTAWAY CHASSIS. WHEN THE UNIT IS SITTING IN TRAFFIC IN HOT WEATHER THE CARPET BEGINS TO MELT AND SMOKE. THIS IS MOST ACUTE AT HIGH AMBIENT TEMPERATURE WITH THE UNIT MOVING AT SLOW SPEED OR IF THE UNIT HAS BEEN DRIVING UP A LONG GRADE AND THEN IS STOPPED AT A LIGHT OR IN TRAFFIC. JAYCO REDESIGNED THE 2015 MODEL YEAR GREYHAWKS TO PROPERLY INSULATE THE FLOOR HOWEVER THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF UNITS ENDANGERING THE PUBLIC ON THE ROAD. JAYCO DID REPLACE THE AFFECTED CARPET ON MY UNIT HOWEVER, THEY REPLACED IT WITH RESIDENTIAL FOAM RUBBER NOT CERTIFIED FOR USE IN AN AUTOMOTIVE CAB. I PAID OUT OF POCKET TO HA
