Incident dates: July 2025, March 2026, [XXX]. On three separate occasions, my leased 2024 VinFast VF8 (leased through US Bank) has suddenly lost all propulsion while being driven and died in the middle of the road/intersection, leaving the vehicle immobile in live traffic. Each time the vehicle had to be towed to the dealer. Each time, by the following morning, it started normally as if nothing had happened, and the dealer applied a software update and stated it would not happen again. The failure then recurred. To Whom It May Concern, I am reporting a recurring safety defect involving the exterior side mirrors of my vehicle. The vehicle has a driver-profile system that stores the seat and side-mirror positions. When the vehicle is unlocked, the mirrors are supposed to return to the positions saved in the driver's profile. Instead, approximately 6 out of 10 times I unlock the vehicle after it has been allowed to enter sleep mode for about 10 minutes, the side mirrors move to an incorrect and seemingly random position. The contact leased a 2024 VINFAST VF 8. The contact stated that upon pulling into the driveway with the rear wheels of the vehicle on the side of the roadway, the brake pedal was depressed, but the vehicle unintendedly accelerated. The driver swerved and avoided the residence, and the vehicle crashed into a flowerpot. The vehicle then accelerated 70-80 ft. on the sidewalk, passed several residences, and the vehicle stopped.
