Ford F-250 SD Recall 25V686: Rearview camera may not show proper image in some light

What this recall means for you

Certain 2020-2022 Ford F-250, F-350, and F-450 Super Duty trucks have a 360-degree view camera system that may not display the rearview image properly in certain lighting conditions. A poor or incomplete rear image reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, which increases the risk of a crash.

An authorized Ford dealer will update the image processing module software at no cost to you. The remedy is being released in phases based on model year, so the repair may not yet be available for your truck. Owners were first notified by letter in October 2025, and owner notification letters were mailed May 19, 2026. Additional letters will be sent as the remedy becomes available for each phase.
