Ford Expedition Recall 25V346: Forward Collision and Auto Braking May Not Work

NHTSA campaign 25V346, reported May 23, 2025, 556 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2020 vehicles were repaired incorrectly under an earlier recall, and a software error has left the Pre-Collision Assist features inoperative. These features include forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, which are designed to alert the driver to a possible crash and help apply the brakes.

When these features do not work as expected, the risk of a crash or injury can increase, because the vehicle may not warn you or brake automatically when a collision is developing. Owners should not assume these safety systems are functioning.

The remedy is a free software update to the body control module, performed by an authorized dealer at no cost to you. Owners were notified by letter mailed June 25, 2025. To check whether your VIN has open recalls, or for help, contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference recall 25S56.
