What this recall means for you
Some vehicles were previously repaired under an earlier recall and may have body and power train control modules that fail to detect a change in the 12-volt battery's state of charge. If the battery charge drops without being detected, electrical accessories such as the hazard lights can stop working, or the vehicle can lose drive power. Either outcome increases the risk of a crash.
Authorized Ford dealers will recalibrate the body control module and the powertrain control module at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed April 23, 2025. If you have questions, you can contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332.
You can also check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to see whether this repair applies to your vehicle.
