What this recall means for you
Some 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee L vehicles may have improperly fastened connections to the display screen module. As a result, the rearview camera image may not appear on the screen. Without the camera view, the driver has reduced visibility behind the vehicle, which increases the risk of injury or a crash. The affected vehicles also do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 111 for rear visibility.
The repair is free. Dealers will secure the display screen module connections, and according to the notice, all affected vehicles have already been remedied. If you own a 2023 Grand Cherokee or Grand Cherokee L, check your VIN for open recalls, and contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403 with questions.
