RAM 1500 Recall 21V632: Curtain Air Bag Inflator May Fail and Injure Occupants

What this recall means for you

Certain Ram pickups have a side curtain air bag inflator whose end cap can detach, or whose inflator housing can rupture. When this happens, compressed gas can escape and force the end cap or other parts into the vehicle cabin, which raises the risk of injury and can increase the danger in a crash.

An authorized dealer will inspect the side air bag curtain assemblies and replace them as needed, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters were mailed starting October 4, 2021, with a follow-up mailed May 26, 2022.
