What this recall means for you
The parking control unit in certain 2021 Mercedes-Benz E 350, E 450, and AMG E63 vehicles may fail to display the rearview camera image. The parking sensors may also misidentify or fail to detect objects behind the vehicle.
When the camera display or parking sensors do not work, the driver has less view and awareness of what is behind the vehicle. This increases the risk of a crash, particularly when backing up.
Mercedes-Benz USA will replace the parking control unit free of charge at an authorized dealer. Owners can contact Mercedes-Benz USA customer service at 1-800-367-6372, and should check their VIN for any open recalls.
