NHTSA campaign 19V499, reported June 27, 2019, 3,947 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The driver-side frontal airbag inflator in these vehicles may rupture because its propellant can degrade over time after long-term exposure to high humidity, heat and temperature swings. An inflator explosion can send sharp metal fragments toward the driver or other occupants, which may cause serious injury or death.

Honda will notify affected owners, and authorized dealers will replace the driver frontal airbag inflator free of charge. Owners can also contact Honda customer service at 1-888-234-2138. Check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your vehicle is included.
