Autocar Xpeditor Recall 19V091: Parked Truck Can Roll Away, Crash Risk

NHTSA campaign 19V091, reported February 15, 2019, 260 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain Autocar Xpeditor trucks were built with undersized parking brake chambers. Because the chambers are too small, the parking brake may not hold the vehicle, and it can move unexpectedly when parked. The vehicles also do not meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 121 for air brake systems.

Unexpected movement while parked increases the risk of a crash, including with people or property nearby.

Dealers will replace the parking brake chambers with correctly sized ones at no cost to you. Owners can also contact Autocar customer service at 1-888-218-3611 or 1-877-973-3486. Check your vehicle identification number for open recalls to confirm whether your truck is included.
