Audi A8 Recall 19V057: Fuel line may leak and cause a fire risk

NHTSA campaign 19V057, reported January 28, 2019, 8,985 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

On certain 2013-2016 Audi A8 and S8 vehicles, the fuel supply line for the high pressure fuel pump can become porous over time and leak gasoline.

Leaking fuel creates a fire risk when it comes into contact with an ignition source, so owners should take this recall seriously. Audi has notified affected owners, and authorized dealers will install a fuel pressure damper on the vehicle free of charge.

If you own an affected model, contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834 and reference recall number 20BM, or check your vehicle identification number (VIN) for open recalls to confirm whether your car is included.
