AFTER 10 MONTHS SINCE THE AIRBAG RECALL WAS ANNOUNCED THERE ARE STILL NO UPDATES ON WHEN MY VEHICLE WILL BE REPAIRED FROM THE MANUFACTURE. CONSIDERING THE SEVERITY OF THE ISSUE, MORE SHOULD BE DONE TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS!
AFTER FEELING THAT MY BRAKES HADN'T WORKED PROPERLY AT A STOP LIGHT (I ALMOST SKID THROUGH IT), I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 35 MPH AROUND A CURVE AND LIGHTLY PRESSED ON THE BRAKES TO MAKE SURE I WOULD SLOW DOWN. UNBELIEVABLY, MY BRAKES COMPLETELY FAILED AND I ACTUALLY BELIEVE I SPED UP WHILE AT THE SAME TIME MY STEERING WENT OUT OF CONTROL. I WAS UNABLE TO CONTROL OR STOP THE CAR. AFTER A FEW SECONDS I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF TO THE RIGHT AND MUD SLOWED ME DOWN ENOUGH TO COME TO A STOP. IT WAS A TRULY PETRIFYING EXPERIENCE AND THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER CONFIRMED THAT MY BRAKES WERE COMPLETELY NON-FUNCTIONING WHEN HE HAD TO USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO GET MY CAR ON HIS TRUCK.
