What owners report
Our Alante's front reading lights and dome light over the bunk quit working. We found a blown fuse, new fuse blows immediately. Repair shop found wires crimped, chafed, some cut clean through by rubbing on fiberglass structure. Problem is a manufacturing defect. The installer routed the wires improperly and the inspector never caught it. These wires were shorting-out behind an enclosed area. In the interest of Safety, taking into consideration the fact- arcing/shorting wires could easily start a fire that would be impossible to extinguish (fire would be inaccessible without tools) we feel a complaint is justified. AFTER DELIVERY OF THE NEW VEHICLE IS WAS DETERMINED THAT THE VEHICLE PULLS TO THE RIGHT AND WAS HARD TO STEER. TOE AND CASTER ALIGNMENT WERE FOUND OUT OF SPECIFICATION AND THE STEERING WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS TWO SPLINES OFF. NEITHER FORD OR JAYCO WILL HONOR A WARRANTY CLAIM. FORD SAYS THEIR CHASSIS WARRANTY DOES NOT APPLY AFTER A MOTORHOME IS INSTALLED BY JAYCO AND JAYCO DOES NOT WARRANTY THE FORD CHASSIS
