Early turbo failure should be extended to newer vehicles not only up to 2018. I am experiencing turbo failure and there is no extended warranty for this repair.
2026-06-23, Air Bags
Air bags failed. Auto has 28,000 miles and has no accidents. Warning light showed that airbags were not working June 2026. Auto brought to dealer, and it is a very costly job to fix. Auto just out of warranty in years not miles. Infiniti in previous years has had a recall on their cars, but not my VIN number for failing airbags. This is a manufacturing defect, and it should not have to cost me. Infiniti has offered a partial discount.

The vehicle began experiencing engine knocking/ticking noises, rough idle, hesitation under acceleration, shaking, and intermittent misfire symptoms. The vehicle has been regularly maintained with oil changes completed on schedule. This appears to be a widespread issue affecting many Infiniti and Nissan vehicles equipped with the VR30 3.0 twin-turbo engine. Numerous owners online report simila

While operating the vehicle under normal driving conditions, the engine experienced a significant loss of power and reduced acceleration. The issue is believed to be related to turbocharger failure within the engine system. The loss of power created a safety concern, particularly when attempting to merge into traffic and maintain highway speeds. The vehicle did not respond as expected when acceleration was needed, which could increase the risk of an accident in certain driving situations. The problem has been confirmed by a dealership service department, and the vehicle is currently available for inspection. The diagnosis indicates that the turbochargers require replacement. The twin turbo failure is a known issue with Infiniti. I took my vehicle to the dealership and it was diagnosed with having a passenger side turbo failure. I have 145K miles on my vehicle. It is outside of the warranty period and very expensive to repair. Infiniti knows there is a problem regarding turbo failure in the Infiniti Q50 and the consumer is forced to deal with expensive repairs $7K for one turbo per the dealership. Had I been made aware of there being a problem, I would not have purchased an Infiniti.
