The airbag warning light activated and two separate service facilities confirmed the problem was with the seatbelt tensioner cable. This could put the driver at risk of serious injury in a collision as the seatbelt may not properly restrain the driver. This car has a recall for model years 2014-2016 for this exact issue, yet GM tells me that there is no recall on my 2017 vehicle with the same exact problem and that I must pay over $1100 to fix the issue. This is a very low volume vehicle. I have the same problem the recall was issued for. How can this not be covered by the recall?
2024-11-22, Steering
As I was driving, my car decided to just turn off. All of the electronics turned off and I lost ignition. Moments later, while I was still rolling, the car turned back on. This issue has happened multiple times but nothing super serios ever happened and i was able to maintain control of the vehicle every time. Since it is a manual transmission, I was able to stay in gear and continue on. The issue with the steering came after the car turned back on. The "SERVICE POWER STEERING, DRIVE WITH CARE" message came across my screen. I used my scanner to see what the codes are, and it have me a "Power Steering Control Module" C0800-03 code, as well as a "Keyless Entry" U0140, a "Parking Assist Module
2023-02-28, Suspension
Right rear sealed wheel bearing failed and was just replaced at 50,564 miles at a cost of $1,142,82, parts, tax, and labor. I have seen correspondence from approximately 12 other owners of this model vehicle (12,500 imported to the USA by Chevrolet over 4 years), who have all experienced similar failure of front and/or rear bearings at 40-50k miles. These bearings reside in the knuckle assembly of the suspension system. Failure of these bearings can cause fires, accidents, and/or other more catastrophic damage. Fortunately, I noticed the noise of the failing bearing before any incident occurred. Sealed bearings, which cannot be serviced as regular "open" bearings are at intervals, should not
