What owners report
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2016 RAM 3500 TRAILERED TO A 2016 WINNEBAGO TRAVATO MOTORHOME. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 18V546000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), 17V108000 (EQUIPMENT) AND 16V598000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE DEALER WAS NOT CALLED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CALLED MULTIPLE TIMES AT: 641-585-6939 AND 800-537-1885 AND FAILED TO CALL BACK. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIRS. THE CONTACT HAD NOT EXPERIENCED A FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UTILIZED BECAUSE THE CONTACT'S WIFE WAS NOT COMFORTABLE RIDING IN THE VEHICLE WITHOUT THE RECALLS BEING REPAIRED.*DT*JB
THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON. IT WAS BROUGHT BACK TO THE DODGE DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY COULD NOT REMEDY THE SITUATION. THIS CANCELS THE CRUISE CONTROL OPTION ALSO.
OVER 30 TIMES IN THE FIRST 5,000 MILES OF DRIVING, THE LOW TIRE INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING. EACH TIME THE TIRE PRESSURE CHECKED OK. TOOK TO DEALER WHO SAID THERE WAS A BAD TIRE SENSOR AND HE REPLACED IT. SINCE THEN INDICATOR LIGHT DOES NOT GO ON EVEN WHEN THE TIRE PRESSURE IS LOW. COULD THIS BE RELATED TO THE DOCUMENTED ELECTRICAL ISSUE? I CONSIDER THIS A SAFETY ISSUE.
2016 WINNEBAGO TRAVATO DIESEL ON A RAM PROMASTER CHASSIS. ON 2 OCCASIONS WHILE DRIVING ON MULTI-LANE HIGHWAYS, THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER. LUCKILY ON BOTH OCCASIONS I WAS ABLE TO GET THE VEHICLE OFF THE ROAD BEFORE BEING INVOLVED IN A COLLISION. THE FIRST TIME THE MESSAGE THAT THE ENGINE THROTTLE CONTROL NEEDED SERVICING APPEARED. I WAS TOLD BY THE CHRYSLERR/DODGE DEALER THE ENGINE WOULD RESET ITSELF AND WHEN IT DID BRING THE VEHICLE IN. I WAS TOLD THE CONTROL UNIT NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. A FEW WEEKS LATER, WHILE ON A MAJOR INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, THE VEHICLE AGAIN LOST ALL POWER WITH THE MESSAGE SERVICE TRANSMISSION. THIS TIME ALL WHEELS WERE LOCKED AND CAR WOULD NOT RESTART FOR HOURS. W
