What owners report
We have a land crusier. The iforce edition. We have several trailers that we tow around. This time I hook up a single axile trailer on the hitch back. Plugged it in properly and turned the towing botton on inside the cab of the car. When i went to back up it acted like something was behind me and the brakes locked up hard. Jolting the vehicle into sudden stop and lock up. Then i put it in park and it did it again and again. It took me 15min to back up out of the drive way. Also, the force of the braking was so strong that the hitch dug into my concrete drive way and cracked the bottom half of the drive way. This is so frustrating and dangerous. It has already caused damage to my own property
Front passenger tire, of a 2025 base model Toyota Land Cruiser, blew out on the interstate going 80 mph with only 9,123 miles on the vehicle. Fortunately the driver was able to navigate to the shoulder and bring the vehicle to a stop without causing further damage to the vehicle or surrounding traffic. Dimensions listed on the tire are 265/60R20 112H. Toyota dealership indicates this is not under warranty. Remaining 3 tires and full sized spare are the same model Yokohama Geolander tires.
HVAC heating system only works in defrost mode. Does not blow hot air out front vents. Blend actuator door does not transition fully to allow air flow. Dealership unresponsive to issue.
I was driving down the road without other vehicles nearby. There was no overpass nearby. I heard a deep, loud noise like a shotgun overhead. I opened my sliding sunroof cover and noticed that the entire window had spontaneously shattered (appeared pebbled throughout). The internal temperature of the car registered 101 degrees Fahrenheit. I kept the sliding panel closed and could hear pieces of the window detach as I drove home as the adhesive did not hold the window together. I contacted Toyota, and they mentioned that there was no recall for this. In looking online, it appears that others have experienced similar due to small defects in the glass that can spontaneously shatter. There was no
Fuel line connecting to the gas tank was found completely disconnected, causing a strong gasoline odor, significant spilled gasoline and multiple warning lights including hybrid malfunction. There is an orange plastic clip that connects the flexible tube from the tank to the rigid fuel line that runs to the engine and this clip was found detatched. Dealer confirmed that the fuel rail line disconnected. Dealer suspects poor seating of connector retainer clip from factory. Review of various Land Cruiser online forums report multiple similar incidents. Dealer indicated Toyota is aware of and investigating this issue.
