TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 1997 REXHALL AERBUS. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL: CRUISE CONTROL IN SEPTEMBER OF 2007. THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS DISCONNECTED IN OCTOBER OF 2007. THE CONTACT CALLED THE DEALER TWICE AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS UNAVAILABLE. THERE HAD BEEN NO FAILURE TO DATE. NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID # 01V163000 IS WRONG!- REPLACING BOLTS IS NOT GOING TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM BECAUSE THE PROBLEM ACCORDING TO JAMES HUGHES PROFFESSIONAL AUTOMOTIVE FORENSIC SERVICE IS THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT WAS NOT TO FORD SPECIFICATIONS IN LENGTH AND ANGLES THAT IS WHY THE BOLTS BREAK AND SNAP. CHANGING THE BOLTS WON'T PREVENT A FUTURE ACCIDENT -IT JUST PROLONGS IT FOR A WHILE. LETTING REXHALL SIMPLY REPLACE BOLTS AND NOT DEAL WITH THE REAL PROBLEM PUTS RV PEOPLE AND OTHER INNOCENT FOLKS ON THE ROAD IN JEOPARDY. NEWS FLASH FOR RV OWNERS- WHEN REXHALL EXTENDS A COACH "CHOPS THE FRAME AND EXTENDS IT" IT VOIDS THE FORD CHASSIS WARRENTY IN COURT BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN MODIFIED. SO NOW THERE ARE 8
