ATC RM900 Recall 26V618: Trailer Coupler Bolts Can Loosen and Separate

NHTSA campaign 26V618, reported September 25, 2026, 8 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2024-2026 ATC RM900 and 2026 RM700 trailers may have coupler mounting bolts that loosen over time. If the bolts loosen, the coupler can separate from the trailer while it is being towed.

A separated trailer coupler can cause loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Owners of affected trailers should take this seriously and avoid towing until the issue is addressed.

ATC will install a gusset reinforcement kit at no charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 13, 2026. To arrange the repair, call ATC customer service at 1-877-441-2440, and check your trailer's VIN for open recalls.
