Lucid Air Recall 26V540: Lucid Air Exterior Lights May Overheat, Raising Fire Risk

NHTSA campaign 26V540, reported August 20, 2026, 27,185 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2022 through 2026 Lucid Air vehicles may have an exterior lighting circuit with insufficient overcurrent protection. Without adequate protection, the circuit can overheat, which increases the risk of a fire. A loss of the center brake light or front lights can also reduce visibility and raise the risk of a crash.

Until the recall remedy is completed, owners are advised to park their vehicle outside and away from structures. The remedy is an over-the-air software update provided free of charge by Lucid. Owner notification letters were mailed September 25, 2026. You can contact Lucid at 1-888-995-8243 with questions, and Lucid's recall number is SR-26-06-0.

Check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls to confirm whether your Lucid Air is affected and whether the update is still outstanding.
