Chrysler Pacifica Recall 26V531: Rearview camera image may not appear in reverse

NHTSA campaign 26V531, reported August 13, 2026, 844,027 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

The rearview camera picture may fail to display when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. Without that image, the driver has less view of the area behind the vehicle, which does not meet federal rear visibility requirements and raises the risk of a backover crash.

The fix is a free radio software update. An authorized dealer can perform it, or the vehicle may receive it over the air. Owner notification letters began mailing September 2, 2026. If you have questions, contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 and reference recall 78D. You can also check your VIN for open recalls on NHTSA.gov, where recall VINs will be searchable starting August 20, 2026.
