Chevrolet Silverado 2500 Recall 26V530: Wrong Rear Tire Pressure Label Can Hide Underinflation

NHTSA campaign 26V530, reported August 13, 2026, 8 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2024-2025 Silverado 2500 and Sierra 2500 trucks with the enhanced towing option and 20-inch accessory tire/wheel package may have a tire information label that lists the wrong rear tire pressure. Following that label can leave the rear tires underinflated, and the tire pressure monitoring system may fail to display a low tire pressure warning.

Driving on underinflated tires can increase the risk of a crash. Because the warning light may not come on, you may not know your tires are low.

The repair is free at an authorized dealer. The dealer will inspect the vehicle, update the engine control module software, apply a corrected tire label overlay, inflate the tires to the correct pressure, and perform a TPMS re-learn if needed. Owners can call Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or GMC at 1-800-462-8782. Check your VIN for open recalls on NHTSA.gov.
