Toyota Camry Hybrid Recall 26V511: Dash Display May Fail at Startup, Hiding Safety Warnings

NHTSA campaign 26V511, reported August 6, 2026, 508,354 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain 2025 and 2026 Toyota Camry Hybrid vehicles may have an instrument cluster display that fails during startup. When this happens, the hazard lights, turn signals, seat belt warning, and smart key reminder may not work, so you may not receive important safety information while driving.

An instrument cluster that fails to show critical safety information increases the risk of a crash or injury. Because the hazard lights and turn signals may be affected, other drivers may not see your intentions or warnings, and an unbuckled seat belt or a key reminder may go unnoticed.

Dealers will update the display software free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 28, 2026. You can contact Toyota customer service at 1-800-331-4331, and you should check your VIN for open recalls (Toyota recall numbers 26TB16 and 26TA16).
