RAM 1500 Recall 26V495: Rear Seat Belt Buckle May Not Be Secured in a Crash

NHTSA campaign 26V495, reported July 30, 2026, 1,271,294 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Some 2019-2026 Ram 1500 trucks may have the second-row center and left-side seat belt buckle anchors installed improperly. The anchors may not be attached securely to the body structure, so they do not meet federal seat belt anchorage requirements.

If the buckle anchor is not properly secured, it may fail to hold rear passengers in place during a crash, which raises the risk of injury.

Dealers will inspect the seat belt buckle anchor and attach it to the body structure as needed, at no cost to you. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 18, 2026. You can contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403 (recall number 67D), and vehicles involved in this recall will be searchable by VIN on NHTSA.gov starting August 6, 2026.
