Ford F-150 Recall 26V370: Gauges May Go Dark in Cold Weather, Hiding Gear Position

NHTSA campaign 26V370, reported June 9, 2026, 4,445 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

This recall covers 2017 Ford F-150 trucks that were previously repaired under an earlier recall (17V053) but may have been fixed incorrectly. In cold weather, the instrument cluster can lose power after the vehicle is started, and some gauges, including the transmission gear position indicator, may not light up. The vehicle also does not meet a federal safety standard covering transmission shift lever sequence and starter interlock.

When the cluster fails to show gear position or warning lights, the driver may not know which gear the truck is in or be alerted to a problem, which raises the risk of a crash or injury.

Dealers will update the instrument panel cluster software at no cost to the owner. Owner notification letters were mailed July 17, 2026. To check whether your truck is included, look up your VIN on NHTSA.gov (VINs become searchable there on July 6, 2026) or contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332 and reference recall 26C26.
