NHTSA campaign 26V309, reported May 13, 2026, 2,039 vehicles potentially affected.

What this recall means for you

Certain rear-wheel-drive vehicles may have a Gen 4 inverter that can develop internal friction and become damaged. When this happens, the vehicle can lose drive power, which increases the risk of a crash.

Lucid will release an over-the-air software update that continuously checks the inverter for failure. If a failure is detected, Lucid will replace the inverter at no cost to the owner. Owners were notified by letter mailed July 8, 2026. For questions, you can contact Lucid at 1-888-995-8243.

Check your vehicle's VIN for open recalls, and contact an authorized Lucid service center or Lucid directly to confirm whether your car is included and to make sure the software update is installed.
